We (me and Si) were just talking the other day about how time flies by; one minute you’re marking the calendar and counting the months until you get to see each other again and the next minute you’re counting the days. Ever since booking my flight for Christmas in England with Si and his family, the days and weeks have been zooming on by.
Before I know it, I’ll be stepping off the plane and working my way across London to Kings Cross (train station) so I can hop the train northbound to see my guy. For 11 whole days! *happy dance, happy dance* What’s that look like? you ask. Well…
The countdown is on: In 10 days I get to see my guy, face to face. I get to hug him and smile at him and smooch him and hold his hand. We get to celebrate Christmas, together. I believe the appropriate response is, GEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Do you get this excited to see your love at the end of the day? If not, perhaps you need to find that excitement again and hold them extra close this evening. Why? Because they are there and because you can. I’d say that’s a good enough reason, wouldn’t you?
I can identify! Nearly 8 years of marriage later, and I still can relate!
